One tip I learned from another mom is about how to teach your children to take their medication. My boys were having a hard time swallowing pills and it was suggested to me that we try practicing with Tic Tacs. My boys loved the taste so there were willing to practice. Soon enough they were able to swallow whole pills with no problem.

My youngest son HATES having his teeth brushed and would squirm around and make it nearly impossible to brush. One of my friends suggested that I lay his head in lap during brushing. It has really helped! He sits much more still in that position and I can actually see inside his mouth instead of guessing and hoping I'm reaching all of his teeth.

I learned at an early stage to always keep crackers and bubbles in my purse.

I had never heard of tic tacs. I always just get a spoonful of applesauce or pudding, put the pill in the middle and say "here take a bite". They swallow it without even knowing. But, I like the idea of the tictacs.

I will have to try the teeth brushing on my lap with Riley! He hates to have his teeth brushed! Thanks for sharing.

Great tips, Dana! I've honestly never put bubbles in my purse, but that will be changing now! Bubbles make everything better. :)

It works like a charm. They don't even know they are taking medicine.
