Bonding or Bribery?

I got a friend that can land tickets to all sorts of concerts, and he called the other day and said that He can get tickets to a Taylor Swift concert next year, now my stepdaughter loves her for that I love her, but I am worried at this stage since I just got married to her father it might be more a bribe then a bonding experience for us?
