Do You Have Any First Day Traditions?

With the first day of school rapidly approaching, do you have any traditions for the first day of school?

We don't do too much for the first day. I always make them a big breakfast and drive them to school. Before we leave we take pictures by the front door. I have them hold up the number of fingers per grade they are in (so 3 fingers for 3rd grade). It has been fun looking at them from year to year!

I remember seeing pictures of Dedi's girls when they did this (I think I saw it on Facebook maybe?). Totally cute idea!

I was just thinking today that I should put together some kind of collage with all of their pictures. This is Jacob's last year of grade school (*sniff*) so it will be fun to see how he has changed from kindy to 5th!
