How Important is a Schedule?

One of the secrets to school success is an organized school routine. An organized school routine keeps everyone on the same page, and makes getting ready for school, finishing homework, completing projects, and everything else that goes on during the school year, a lot easier.

Do you make (and stick to) a schedule?  Can you tell the difference on days you don't stick to it?

Yes, we have a schedule. I try my hardest to keep to it, but there are days when things fall apart. My oldest kiddo has several appointments each week and those seem to throw us for a loop. My boys thrive on a schedule so those days when things are a bit off, I can certainly tell a difference in behaviors/attitudes (theirs and mine both! ha!). I also feel like we are always trying to play catch up on those days when things are "off" (rushing to get homework in, the house is a mess, things get forgotten, etc).

We try to stick to one as well. If we don't *I* tend to forget things! I hope this school year goes off without a hitch.

Yep! I'm the one usually forgetting things (and then I just want to kick myself!). I'm hoping this year goes well too. I always have such good intentions... and, well... I'm sure you know how it is. Hoping to stick with it this year!

I know exactly how that is! I start out the year with a bang, then usually get lax toward the middle. :sigh:
