... of summer break do your kids have left?

I just counted on the calendar and our boys are back in school in 18 days.  Insane!  This summer flew by way too quickly!

Anyone doing anything special in these last few weeks of summer break?

We have 25 days left.  ODD has most of the month already out with cheer activities, camps, work, senior pictures, etc.  And we need to fit some school supply shopping in there somewhere.  As for the new Kindergartener, I picked up a few school supplies already, but we are going to go on a special trip hopefully in the next two weeks, along with a bit of clothes shopping and a haircut.  As for anything family related or vacation or anything, nope, no time.

Activities do start early, don't they? Jacob is joining band this year and they have a camp before school starts. I'm on the PTA and we have meetings the next two weeks. Summer really is coming to a close! We still need to do quite a bit of shopping too as well as haircuts, etc.

I am hoping to do a few things before school starts though. Nothing big but there were a few things we said we wanted to do at the start of break that we have not gotten to (water park, museum, etc). Hopefully we'll find some time to do a few of them.

Just realized you're stuck with me on both boards! :smileywink:  ODD has been doing cheer activities all summer, booster club meetings, fundraising, now pre-camp practices and then next week camp, they have media day the week before school starts along with a scrimmage for the football team, they don't cheer buy they have to attend as a group and then a silent auction fundraiser "meet the eagles" dinner for the football players...  So glad this is my last year of doing all this stuff during the summer for a while.

DH's high time is during the summer, so we don't do much as a family during the summer, the girls and I do qutie a bit, but not him.  Usually over the holidays in the winter he has more time to do stuff like that, or he'll take the kids out on his own while I work.  Eventually we'll actually take a nice family trip again...

That's got to be tough with your DH working more during the summer. I'm glad you are still able to enjoy fun things with the girls, even if he can't be there. :smileysad: One day you'll have that nice family trip! Maybe during the winter months? LOL

Wow! We're down to 19 days! I cannot believe how fast this summer has flown by.

We don't have any special plans, but we still need to do our bts shopping! I'm putting it off as long as possible.

I think it's because we tend to get out earlier (mid to late May).

Still waiting for them to get home to find out how it went- a few more hours to go!

We are down to 12 days now. ACK! I really cannot believe how fast it went by. I'm dreading the back to school morning rush, homework battles, and endless running around. I better enjoy this last bit while I can!

Wow, Lisa! I bet your house is quiet today. :smileyhappy: Were your kiddos excited to start back? How did your first morning routine go?
