Can anyone give me some advice regarding these gaming systems. My DDs want one for Christmas and I really don't know too much about them. Are there plenty of games appropriate for 9 and 10 years olds? Are the graphics better on one system over another? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We have Gamecube, Playstation2, and XBox. The kids hardly ever play the X Box, mostly adult games for that. Both systems are played by the kids a lot. The Gamecube has the Pokemon games that my kids really like.

Hi, maybe I can add my 2 cents, if it's okay....

X Box is geared more for adults and late teens.

Thanks so much. Very helpful information. We have decided to go with the PS2 and Gamecube. They each want their own system and I've been researching available games and think these two systems will work best. I will definitely get the "Animal Crossing" game -- my DD would love that.

Playstation 3 isn't coming out until March, 2006 and my DD really wants it for Christmas, so I think I'm going to go ahead and get it for her anyway, plus the cost of the PS3 will be closer to $200.
