Salmonella From Dog Bowls

There were 79 cases of salmonella infection, mostly in kids, reported in 2006 through 2008, that could be linked to the tainted dry dog and cat food. The scariest part? This is without the kids even eating the kibble (something plenty of tots, I hear, have done). Just by handling the food, the dog’s dish, or even petting the pooch, your child could pick up salmonella, says the FDA.
