After the town rejected an increase in school taxes, the school is having to make tough decicions.

This is already a way of life for the middle and high school students in our district.

It just amazes me that education is low on the totem pole on important subjects.

Yikes, no way. Public school is mandatory, and if they want my kid there, they'd best find a way to make that happen without asking me to pay for something that they're requiring. I already drive back and forth but if I worked and couldn't do it, what then? Then you're forced, and that's wrong. I sure hope that doesn't get more popular!

Our school is starting to charge this year - $75 per semester - and I said no way. I'll drive them instead. Kids who get free or reduced lunch do not have to pay, so that is nice....but I'm still not paying! :-)

I hadn't even thought of the kids getting reduced lunches!
