Frayser High School girls are carrying more than just backpacks these days, many are carrying babies. Now a new campaign is being launched to fight teen pregnancy in the Frayser area.

Is lack of parenting to blame?
And people wonder if we really need a Parents of Sexually Active Teens board??? When a question is posed like this, how likely am I to post something like "I'm terrified because I think my 15 y/o is sexually active"?

I will have to agree that it has something to do with the mindset... and some of it is the mindset in some social circles that having multiple random hookups (casual, "getting to know you" sex) is acceptable, no big deal - and unfortunately a fair share of that sex is unprotected because kids tend to have the attitude that "it will never happen to me."
