Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday--bar none. A special day with the family, good food, Cowboys game a midafternoon feast. Not the hustle and bustle of gift exchanges, which I also enjoy, but Thanksgiving has a closeness that can’t be matched. A time to reflect on the past year, recognize the blessings received, and be grateful for them. What’s not to like about this great American invention of those Pilgrims and Native Americans. Ok, I understand the turkeys not liking it.

We had a full house of hungry Pilgrims with both couples, my parents, hubby’s parents, oldest SILs parents, one of the elderly couples from next door, and the little brothers also. Youngest SILs parents and siblings went Cancun ing. Youngest SIL wore feather head dress as he is our 5/32 token Indian. (His mother thinks it’s more like 5/64.) The great grandparents came up to meet the littlest brother and they approve. The great grandpas taught the older two to put olives on their thumbs and fingers.

It was a fun day and beats the heck out of camping out for five days in front of the local Best Buy to save $10.  i plan to sleep in tomorrow.

What did you, hubby, and the boys do?
