Pam, I have thought a lot about your response about teen sex in that other post.... about going over news items about 17 or 18 yo boys being accused of rape etc, with younger girls.

my two are not SA but if they were their reputations don't come into it. I don't care want other people think and have brought up my two to be the same.

I think you would have gotten a different result-maybe not flip flopped, but different-if you had left out the word 'reputation'

I certainly had concerns when my sons became sexually active but 'reputation' wasn't a big deal for me. I am not one to worry about appearances and what other people think(which has made the parenting journey interesting because DH has many concerns in that department)

I agree that if the word reputation had been left off you would have seen a much different result.
I voted no because of many of the reasons already so well put by Rose.
For me and my DH the SA of any of our children (both our older teen DS's and DD) has such incredibly huge ramifications and concerns attached to it that their "reputations" don't really even begin to register on the concern radar.
