Glad to hear Justin is doing so well - job, grade, girl - the right combination for a happy boy!
Leah is having a pretty good semester. The work is harder, and there's more of it, but she's keeping up. She sets high standards for herself, and I'm amazed at her discipline. She's learning how to be more active in what she wants to learn - teachers won't spoon feed you anymore! Outside of school, she has jazz band (technically part of school, but not academic), she's president of the Temple Youth group, and is still baking whenever she has time! She has no idea of where she wants to go to college or what she wants to study - could be a stressful winter and spring while she sorts it out! No serious boys, as far as I know, but several that she's having fun talking to and flirting with! She's on the Junior Semi-Formal committee, so it will be interesting to see if she takes a date or goes with a group of girls and guys who are friends.

Kelsie is a senior this year and I can hardly believe it. She is such a beautiful young lady, inside and out. She can also be pretty fiesty at times, especially with her Dad and that can be a problem, but otherwise she is a wonderful kid. School is going pretty well this year. She doesn't know what she wants to do with her life so she is planning to go to the local community college and take all the basics, hopefully by the time she finishes with that she will have an idea what she would like to do. I know she would really love to be an author, but she needs something that will pay the bills too. She is working on her 3rd novel. They are teen books and are really quite good. What she needs to do is go back and edit #1 and submit it and see if she can get published. When I say novels I really do mean novels, these books are about 200 pages each, printed at a size 10 font.
She is also pretty good at art and may do something with a component of art in it. Being some kind of counselor is also an option, she has pretty diverse interests, hopefully she will find her path w/in the next year or so.
She isn't dating anyone right now and she still has it bad for the guy she met in Toledo this summer. One can only hope.
Jaryd is a sophomore this year and seems to be loving it this year. He is doing well in school too. He should be on the bowling team and the tennis team again this year. In the last year or so he has become quite the sports fan. He lives for the Buffalo Sabres (hockey), loves watching the Buffalo Bills (football) and the NY Yankees (baseball) he also loves the Buffalo Bandits Lacrosse team. He is still interested in doing some kind of photography, but not what Dad does, it is too hard. (Dad does art shows with his photography and it is very tough work both physically and competitively) I am thinking he will go toward some kind of tech or computer type work, but he has a long time to decide.
He isn't interested in having a girlfriend yet and that is just fine with me. He just mostly wants to hang with his best friend and watch sports, play sports or playstation.
He is a great kid and continues to be, as dh says, the sweetest soul I have ever known. He is definatly a sweetheart. Everybody loves him.
I am very fortunate to have two really wonderful kids.
Connor (14) is a freshman taking all honors classes.
We've been very busy around here lately!
I've had to share the computer with my daughter as it is week 3 of the school strike and they are home all the time.
Let's see:
DS15 is a sophomore, still having some serious test issues, but doing better this year.
