Black Friday

I am in awe of “Black Friday” shoppers. Although I admit some befuddlement regarding the entire affair. Just the name alone sounds like a plague that should be avoided. My DD and DW have joined your cult this year.

I asked H if he wanted to skip exchanging gifts this year because all he ever does is complain after Christmas about how much he spent, what a waste of money to buy things we don't need or want, etc. He completely surprised me by stopping what he was doing, stared at me for a bit, and finally said, "No, it's Christmas!" LOL. He is so wierd sometimes.

So, I did find him some nice soft long sleeved henley shirts at Old Navy he can use for work. I bought him a really expensive, very nice camera two years ago and he never uses it because it's too complicated. He likes mine, which is a Sure Shot or something like that - very easy and simple to use and takes awesome pics. I was thinking of getting him one like that because he likes to take the camera with him to jobs so he can photograph his work for his portfolio, kwim?

We only exchange with our local neices and nephew and they are getting VISA gift cards this year. They can use them anywhere - perfect for college students! And we donate money to a local women's shelter in all the other family's names. Better than hunting for a gift they will exchange anyway, right?

When we were all younger, it was so much easier to shop for everyone and each other.

Yes, 4 a.m. is too early! I'd have to be getting something very great for FREE to get up and out then...I don't like to drive in the dark anyhow...

Oh H & R, you hit the nail on the head - it's that same adrenaline rush that the guys get from hunting!

For just that one day a year, REM sleep is highly overrated!!!
