I need to find a board that can help with a question about dealing with elderly parents. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Me too! I visited my parents last weekend and I am quite concerned about them. I've had the advice (from a neighbor who has had lots of experience with aging parents) that if they are happy, to let them be. I just don't know how far to let things go before stepping in!

Anybody?

Try asking your question on this board (that's how I found a board for my dd):

Does your DD post on iVillage too? Mine started posting on the Teens Board a year or so ago when she was having a tough time and I wanted her to have a place to 'chat' with other teens. Once school got in session, she wasn't able to spend much time there, but I think she posted a bit over the summer. She enjoys it when she has the time.

Yes, she is on the Teens Board now, but I do not know how often she posts. But from some of what she has written, I am amazed how the same situation creates two very different perspectives - the teen's view and the parent's, LOL! But I introduced her to the board for the same reason as you - so she could "talk" to other teens in sort of an anonymous way.

AARP has a series of boards-I went there with some job concerns as of late(yes, I make the 50 cutoff-yikes)

I was impressed with how active the jobs board was

Heres a caregiver link but it might be worth exploring the whole setup as there will be answers to financial questions in other sections-good luck!
