hey everyone, i happen to have the day off today because of the Martin Luther King holiday and the school usually has it off but they had been striking and have in session. my ds, age 16 and a friend slept here last night and his friend drives so they left for school this morning. Well, before leaving my son asked if i see a paper he needed for school and i did not. i happen to be going through laundry and found the papers. so i drove the 20 minutes to school to give him the papers and when they called into the class room they said he was absent that day and so was the kid he was with@# i tried their cells unfortunatly i found later the cells were left home. i asked to confirm the grandmother's phone number of the kid that i had and "because of confidentiallity blah blah bla..alls i could say is i hope these boys are ok. so i searched through the parking lot, no car., i drove around to the resturant in the area and did not see his car, i drove to the parks, notta...i am panacking..my husband drove to the home of the kid and no one is there...WHAT DO I DO NOW EXECPT BITE MY NAILS...what do you do, i am walking around w/my cell and i have gone through his cell phone and texted his friends and they are passing the word..they don't know where they are eighter. i am just sick. what do you do???

I hope he's home by now and I hope you've given him a good piece of your mind....yes, kids do skip school and I think of all the times I went places without my parents knowing!!! Gosh if they knew at the time they'd flip a lid I am sure. He said he needed some paper for school and maybe because he couldn't find it he decided to not show up. Its not right of course but its fairly common.
