So my question is: Why did YOU have kids? Do you forsee spending a lot of time with them, and your grandchildren, as they get older?
My mom remarried when I was a preschooler and had three more children. She worked full-time and went to school part-time until I was in 8th grade, so I raised my siblings a lot. Instead of resenting it, I loved it (okay, I'm sure it was a bit of both). I always wanted kids, because I just thought that raising kids was the best job in the world. I suppose if I were curing cancer it might be a contest, but other than that, what can compare to raising a human being (hmmmm... this sounds kind of like a God complex, but that's just the way it's coming across!).
