For those of you with
Basically I just want to know generally what my DD is doing (she is home now after graduating from college but it's basically the same as when she was home on break).
Our college sophomore is expected to assimilate back into life here, which means being present at family meals (dinners and weekend breakfasts), spending most of his time out in the house (i.e. not hiding in his bedroom), going to church with us on Sunday, cleaning up the kitchen after dinner every other day, and generally doing what he did before college.
My kids are still at home, but I know when I came home, the old rules still applied. I will expect the same from my kids. My hubby's side, the kids all are bad about letting the parents know when or even if they ould be coming home, he laid into them saying how rude that was. I would expect my kids to be home for meals, if they are not working, unless they inform us other wise and to be home at a certain time, again, unless they inform us otherwise.
Ramona Mom to 2 great kids and wife to one wonderful hubby since 1990!
You actually want your kids to wake you up late at night?
Thank you so much for the replies.
yup I do want them to wake me.
Ma2connor, don't know if this is your first summer with a college student.
Yes, some kids do push the envelope more than others, and mine range from one who pushes the limits to the ends of the earth to one who does pretty much whatever we expect.
