Thank you Kristie.
What a tragedy. There has been a lot of phone calls and e-mails with everyone checking in with each other up here. The authorities have not yet released the names of those killed or injured.
My condolences to the families involved in this.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts.
It's kind of a mess up here right now. I'm kind of numb from what happened. I drove over this bridge at least once a week. There are so many grieving families wondering what happened. The official death toll is sure to rise. I'm so frustrated with the news media covering this. They are now focusing on a contractor who was repairing some paving to the road surface at the time of collapse, which is completely irrelevant to the structural integrity of the bridge. They report 9 OSHA violations in 10 years! They could be anything from an improper use of an extension cord, to faulty scaffolding. But again, irrelevant. I'm tired of the sensationalizing before we even have a body count. The legal mess from this is going to be long and arduous.
