Hi Sue! Thanks for asking. Things are better here. She is still not ready to talk to me about the pregnancy. She spent all day Saturday sick..poor thing.
The other family is still pushing her towards only one decision...to keep it. I had an interesting talk with her youth director yesterday, tho. She said that she could see this summer when they went to camp, that C was very 'infatuated' with Kristen (I call it obsessed LOL), and she feels it was a way to 'keep' her. I am getting the feeling through talking to the counselors and the youth director that Kristen is really leaning towards adoption. They can't come out and tell me anything of course due to privacy, but they are implying it. One of the elders at the church is also a substitute teacher, so he is going to grab C sometime and take him to lunch and talk to him.
I feel for her, I know she is scared, but she just won't talk to me.

I'm doing ok. We take it one day at a time, and if any confrontational attitude comes out of her, I just walk away, or just ignore the behavior. I tell everyone in the house, she is just looking for attention, and that is the only way she knows to get it. My 7 year old, Kolby says "oh you mean like Riley?"(who is 3) LOL, funny how he made that connection at such a young age. Anyway..that was really long and thanks for listening!

Dana, if she should decide to talk to you, and you want her to know how it is from the adoptive mom's point of view, let me know.

Oh that would be absolutely awesome, Cheryl! Thanks. My mom can give her the perspective on how it is to BE adopted and now I know someone who has adopted. I will take you up on it if she chooses. Thanks again.
