Why does this make me feel sad? Maybe because she's half-way to 30 and I'm half-way to really, really old? lolol. We shared some really hysterical laughs yesterday afternoon, but by bedtime, I was a 'nag'. Sigh ...
I hope she has a happy day today -- we're taking her to her favorite Italian restaurant for dinner tonight. I think I'll skip the pasta and go straight to dessert and coffee. Tiramisu ... yum!

You are a woman with her priorities straight. This would teach your DD a couple of very valuable lessons - first of all, the importance of knowing how to let loose and secondly, the importance of knowing your food groups:
cream - dairy product
coffee - vegetable (bean)
chocolate - vegetable (bean)
These are all very vital to a teen's growing body (LOL)!
Have fun!
Happy Birthday, DD! What is her favorite dish? Will the staff sing happy birthday to her?
It sounds like you have a nice celebration set up for her - have fun and enjoy the Tiramisu - yummy.

I'm sure glad I looked that up on dictionary.com! The nearest Italian restaurant around here is over an hour away, so I haven't been in an obscene length of time, but I'll remember this one! It sounds great!
zz ---> always happy to learn some new way to have dessert, lol

Anything with pasta and parmesan cheese - lol. The girl has eaten massive quantities of pasta since she started eating solid food, and there was a time when that was ALL she ate.
Between the pasta, (grains) cheese, (dairy) Italian soda (fruit) and chocolate dessert (cocoa bean = vegetable) she'll have a well-balanced birthday dinner. :-)

Happy birthday to your dd! My own dd will be 15 on December 20th. I guess it makes sense that our dd's are a year apart in school, because of California's cut-off dates (December 2nd). I never realized how close in age they were before. In some ways it feels like yesterday since they put that precious first baby in my arms...in other ways it feels like a lifetime ago. But they do grow up fast, don't they?
Sniff, sniff....

Haha, the only time we drive an hour for food is for Mexican! I'm usually too full for dessert after that! But the Italian place is right next door and we might just move over there after dinner for dessert (I can always carry it home, lol) It'd beat sopapillas, for sure!

I don't guess I've ever had a crepe, either. Definitely gonna check that out if I run across it.
Have a great b.d. with your dd.
