DD's Life Goals

I got to take DD to school today and about mid-way through the drive, she said 'Oh! I decided what I wanted to do with my life!" ...

"To be a politically active archeologist who writes poetry, childrens' books and novels, who releases a new CD each fall, stars opposite George Clooney in Academy Award winning films and is featured on the cover of ?? magazine as one of the world's most influential women".

And of course, she is married to Prince Charming and the mother of four adorable children.

All I gotta say to that one is "You go girl!"

well, it's better than having no ambition!

I had to laugh because my 5th grade son was worried that he didn't know what to do w/ his life. I told him he had a lot of time to decide. Then we were discussing what he was good at & what he liked (which was reading & writing) and we came up w/ journalism or writing books as a possible option. Maybe he'll be like the teenager who ended up writing Eragon (which he is reading now).

Hey, I have a 5th grade ds too, and he is also very good at reading and writing and right now would like to be a writer, very much like his mother.

This reminds me of dd, who has wanted to be a fashion designer for some time, but recently decided she might like to be a social worker.

LOL
Isn't it wonderful when you are young and the whole world is your oyster??

Ditto the "you go, girl"!
