thank you, Sue. that's what the evaluator said try giving his note instead of the pedia. i am on my way today to get the pedia's note and see what he wrote first. the psych ward said they cannot give separate note schools. this pedia is really a pain. i don't know if he has teenagers, but he didn't seem old enough to have teens. the pedia is just insisting that my kid has poor sleeping habits that's why she refuses to get up in the morn. she is trying to adjust her sleep sched, but it would take time. but i can understand if she gets tired during the day and naps, her night sleep will be off and then affects her wake up time.---that's why i think it is a good idea to stay home for a while to get her body back to normal. ---this kid has failed most classes already ---a straight A student, graduated top 10 fr 8th gr---she just needs the time to recuperate---

it really bothers me that some people just dont get it and not even try to understand. most of the time i've noticed these so called professionals in helping kids, generalize that if they do one approach with one child, it would apply to every child. As a parent, I see it all, fr home and other people's systems. But you still get labeled that you're not doing a good job. Right now my kid is my super full time job.

it really helps to have this forum. you can get heard and express opinions without getting into any arguments with people, which helps a great deal.

thanks again.

I agree with Sue, it shouldn't matter who the dr. is that gives the excuse and if the evaluator isn't a dr. and the school wouldn't accept that, I would raise holy he!! I just wouldn't have her go back to school yet.

You both have been through enough and this dr. doesn't seem to be taking her best interest into account. I would be looking for a new dr. real quick.

thanks for the comment. I didn't give the pedia's note bec he basically wrote his own personal opinion why he thinks my 13y shouldn't stay home. I gave the school the discharge paper fr the hosp. with the psychiatrist's recommendations. So far the sch took that, but still waiting for the pedia's note stating the mono test. I requested again fr the pedia just to give me a short straight forward mono confirmation. I told their nurse this doctor is too opinionated, his part is the medical test. I don't know yet if he made the second note. But yes I told my child to stay home today and also for tomorrow.

My oldest son had mono last year and didn't miss any school. The doctor advised against it, so he just took more naps and slept more once he got home. I went to the health food store and got some type of immune building mushroom capsules and pumped him full of vitamins and good food.
