In Canada, extra-curricular mean NOTHING for university and college acceptance. It is only marks that count. The only time the universities look at the extra stuff if the kid is a 'may be'.
The universities will not care of your DD was a dancer or not. For many of the universities, they will not even know.
I think it's great that your kids worked and I found out from an admissions officer at a top college it really counts--especially in a field they are interested in as your one kid did.
