Sunny,

I am sorry that you are having this problem and these feelings of inadaquacy. You have written about these types of problems and feeling so often and the only thing I really can say is that I think you should seek some counseling.

I am handicaped also and there are lots of things that I can't do with my children that other moms can, that is just a fact of life that we deal with.

Kristie,

This was so well said and I agree with all you said whole heartedly.

Sunny,

I really think that you should take Kristie's advise, especially because chances are your children will "seem" to like you less as they get older.

Hi Sunny - all of us have different issues with our teenagers - sometimes they make us and themselves proud; sometimes they disappoint us and we wonder what we did wrong to create such an uncaring human LOL. I agree with the others that if it's so hard to stand up to your DD's, you may want to seek counseling to help you learn how to deal with normal ups and downs of family life.

Just a suggestion for message boards though - it's extremely hard to read through paragraph after paragraph of the same information, day after day. There are so many wonderful folks on these boards, and they love to ask for and offer help - but it can get overwhelming if one person is writing so many long posts and repeating the same things. Just food for thought.

Lisa
