Hello everyone this is my first time posting. I am not sure I know where to go anymore. I am a mother of five from chicago. Here is my problem:

My son David the third oldest he is a freshman in high school has been going through major problems. I seperated him from his gf of a year and a half who he slept with. The final straw was when she slapped him. She is very controllive and obsessive. Since this I have banned him from talking to her. Last night I found evidence that he has been huffing. I seem to blame myself on this because I seperated him from his gf. I have no idea how to get my son through all of this. Sometimes I think letting him see her would solve the problems. Here is her profile which i found online

Marital Status: Dave,Dave, Dave

DAVID

Hobbies & Interests: each day That Goez By It Seemz Like I Discover Somethíng New about You To Love It's Incredíble To Me How One Person Can Make Such A *BIG* Dífference In My Lífe You Touch Me In A Way No One Else Ever Has And Gíve Me So Many Reasons To Love

Favorite Gadgets: baby set me free from dis misery i cant take it no more since u ran away that day nothins been the same i dont kno wat im livin4

Occupation:

my occupation is sitting like a stone statue waiting for that one day when love brings me to life and wakes me up insinde

Personal Quote: WOULD U EVER LIE TO ME?

WOULD U BREAK MY HEART?

WOULD U PRETEND NOT TO KNOW ME INFRONT OF YOUR FRIENDS?

WOULD U STAND UP TALL & BE PROUD OF ME EVEN IF I DONT DO AS WELL AS OTHERS?

WOULD YOU TELL YOUR PARENTS YOU LOVE ME & NOTHING CAN EVER BREAK US APART?

Any help should be appreciated. Should I email the ex gf and tell her that there should be NO contact because I belive they still talk online? Any help Please :(

I think your main objective is to get him help in regards to his huffing.

I've copied a link to information below regarding huffing; in it, it says to get professional help. I would start with your family doctor and ask for a referral to someone who can treat the huffing problem, as cm-twoki suggested, right away. With that counsellor, and the combined treatment, they will hopefully be able to work with your son on the other issues you feel he's facing, such as why would he want/remain with a person who has physically hit him, is obsessive or controlling? Her online info sounds like so many teens tho; quoting that Evanescence song, and the rest of it. I wouldn't worry too much about her right now. If there's something that points to their making plans or expressions of desperation to see her, I'd eliminate IM off my computer at that point.

I hope everything will get better for you and your son. Hang in there.
