Handbells meets once a week after school and once a month she goes to scrapbooking club. She also has scouts, religious ed, and German school. She is joining a volleyball league through our park district, since she didn't make the school team. She also helps to teach two tae kwon do classes and we all take one together. DD15 is entering her sophomore year and has made the girls soccer team at school. After school starts (next week- ack!) they practice daily after school until 7. The first game is Wednesday (the first day of school) and they have 2-4 per week up through October. She is also on Sophomore Senate, and who knows what other clubs she will join this year.

She's got a pretty tough class load this year, including her first AP class, so I hope she doesn't over-extend herself. She is very social and never misses a ball game or party, so she always seems to have an awful lot on her plate.

This will be a busy fall. Madison will be a senior, which means applications need to be done. She has already made a huge calander with deadlines, days for interviews, and when she would like to be done. She is applying to 12 schools and her goal is to be done by Christmas.

On top of that she is continuing her full courseload by taking 3 AP classes out of 4 classes, and the third year of Calculus at a community college. She only got one free period second term and her other class is just computers. She is used to taking several challenging AP courses and doing well in all of them, but she has never had college applications to worry about at the same time.

To add to the mix she also has ballet 6 days a week. She has it everyday Monday through Friday.

I can't wait May when she knows where she is going and has completed all the AP exams.

Carlin will be a junior this year. She has a heavy schedule with 3 AP classes and has to go to another highschool in the evening to take a calculus class. Also, she has to study for the SAT/ACT and work on her list of colleges to look at. To top it all off she has cheer practice, football games, and gymnastics outside of the school to work on tumbling. Junior year is not my favorite year.

The triplets: Bradford, Reagan, and Shea will be going to college this September. It will be a stressful and sad time getting them all ready and settled in, but they are excited.

DD (and our only child) is starting her senior year. She is a swimmer. HS swim practice started this week. Until school starts they practice M-F 8-11. After school starts, the pratices are after school every day until 6:30 and MWF from 6-7:30 a.m. They have meets about twice a week until the beginning of November. My God...that makes me tired just typing it! Fortunately I don't drive her to all of the practices (any more).

She has a very strenuous schedule this year, and of course the college and scholarship applications will keep her pretty busy.

We are also hosting an exchange student this year. He will be a junior and is planning to play soccer. He arrives tomorrow. His practices start Monday and are 3:30-6:00 every night through the season. He also has about 2 games a week. DD is mostly responsible for getting him to/from school and his practices and games. Monday we will also visit the school guidence counselor to arrange his schedule. No matter what he takes, as english is his second language, he will have a strenous schedule as well.

We are expecting a very busy and exciting fall all the way around.
