I read somewhere yesterday -- don't remember where -- that 'ultra-low rise, bulge displaying, thong revealing, butt-crack baring' jeans are on the way out! Woo Hoo! Apparently to be replaced by a more stream-line and tailored look jean with a higher rise.
I can't tell you what a relief that will be! It's not been a problem with my DD (she's rather modest) but it means that I won't have so many opportunities to look down anybody's pants!

Oh.. happy day...
Does this apply to sagging boys too??
If I wanted to see a plumber, I'd have hired one....
I'm relieved because maybe it won't be so difficult to find jeans that look good but don't show butt crack! I hate the regular/high-rise jeans on the market now because they just look so old fashioned and well, they hang funny or are all bootcut. I like lightly flared jeans that sit just under the belly button. I don't need to have to keep pulling up jeans that sit at my pelvic bone. Ugh.
My 18dd is also modest and hates the super low-rise jeans. But my 16dd, who is slightly pudgey around the middle loves them and I hate having to tell her constantly to either pull up her pants or pull down her shirt!
Maybe the boys will follow suit and restyle their jeans. Wouldn't it be terrific not to have to see the boy's boxers?
