First Semiformal Saturday night
Our community is a little different in that our individual HS' don't each have a Homecoming Dance. They do have mixers after the Homecoming football games, but they are just like any other postgame mixer. Instead, our local YWCA has always sponsored a fall semiformal open to all local HS students. It is first class all the way, held at the lovliest ballroom at one of our local universities, with a great live band. DS15 is a freshman and is taking a really sweet girl that he's been close friends with since they were toddlers. It's nice that this dance is open to all the HS since DS' girl goes to another school as do many of his dearest and oldest friends. His MS split between the two largest HS in town, so he is looking so forward to having all of his buddies at one function.
Looks like it is going to be a great evening- DS and his date are attending a predance party at the home of another close friend. The friend's dad is a builder and their home is nothing short of spectacular. All together there will be 10 couples at the party, which is being catered by a topnotch caterer. We will also be taking pictures as the view is breathtaking out there- the mother has had her gardeners working overtime making sure the mums are "just so" and that everything is picture perfect.
I am looking forward to seeing DS15 in his suit- it'll be a nice change from warmups and cleats!
