Uh-oh, the gremlins are out to get me again. I see my posts never showed up from 1-20. How soon does Connor go?

You KNOW he'll do great, it will probably be one of those things he'll always remember and feel very accomplished!

Bloomington is an incredibly easy airport. We used it to fly to Orlando over the holidays. Small, friendly-he cannot get lost!!!

Since everyone else has covered procedure, is your DS nervous at all about flying?

Just find out ahead of time what the rules are for brining liquids, etc... Don't forget that shampoo, some deoderants, contact solutions, etc.. are all in that catagory and be sure to pck things in the correct containers and baggies. Wear shoes that come off easily, bring proper ID, etc... My kids have flown a few times, a few times with my parents, and my dd (16) had flown more than my mom recently and had to show my mom the ropes.

Ramona  Mom to 2 great kids and wife to one wonderful hubby since 1990!

My youngest, the space cadet, flew from IL to CO to see his GF at 18. Now, he had flown with us before but still, I was shocked at how well he handled it all-he had to handle connections, a small plane to be closer to her town, etc.

He should be fine. It never hurts to run through worse case scenarios(person who is to meet him doesn't show, for example).
