Truthfully, S didn't completely "get it" until he was almost 20 - and that was part of the reason he enlisted - to prove to the world that the changes he'd started making at 17 were for real, and he really is more than his brothers and father.

That dress is soooo gorgeous and guys always look so handsome in their uniforms. I'm glad they are approaching their second anniversary-it cant be easy having a young(as in length of)marriage combined with the absences of the military
