I meant to post this a while back, but I forgot! I thought this was such a cute idea ..,
DD went to a sleepover at a school friends' house a few weeks ago. In advance, the hostess got everyone's shoe size. She went out and puchased a pair of inexpensive white canvas tennies for each person, as well as permanent markers in a bunch of different colors. She matched up shoe sizes with party guests and wrote the name that corresponded to the size on the sole of the shoe.
When her guests got there, the shoes were all together in a huge pile, along with the markers. Everyone grabbed a shoe and decorated just a small portion of it ... toe, heel, side, etc. Each girl decorated each shoe however she liked.
They are so cute! And so colorful! DD's pair has a unicorn on one toe, a checkerboard heel on another, snowflakes, polka dots, squigglies ... you get the idea.
Just thought I'd share.

This sounds like a fun idea. My 12yo DD does something similar at sleepovers - T-shirts and white pillow cases work well too. My 16yo DD and her friends tend to make 'event' T-shirts....very decorated for specific high school sporting events.
