So far I have 15 boxes ordered but I won't tell any girl scout who comes to my door and asks no so I may end up with even more. I was the cookie mom when my dd was in girl scouts and I loved every minute of it. I have to say trefoils or thin mints are my favorite but I enjoy them all!!
I just said to DH the other day, where are we gonna get Girl Scout cookies. He was very happy to tell me that our neice is now a girl scout and he already ordered cookies from her.
I plan to eat those and then look for when the Girl Scouts set up at our local Wal Mart and purchase more.
We haven't had anyone come round yet. But DH typically buys Thin Mints by the CASE -- I am not joking. Last year he bought TWO cases and he ate them for months and months. DD and DS like the Tagalongs and he even buys a case of those for them to share.
For a couple years running, our area hosted an 'Operation Thin Mint' drive and we could send boxes of cookies to our troops oversees. Of course, DH bought a couple of cases for that, too.
I was DD's troop leader and cookie mom for 4 years so I'm a bit weary of them myself and much prefer my own homemade cookies.
Not yet; it's just starting here and we always get snagged by 2 nieces. We get 3 from each (sisters) to keep it fair. I don't like any of them any more, but I'm not that into cookies anyway. I remember selling them at 50 cents/box...sigh.
ooooo--- I love GS cookies! Thin mints and Samoas are my favorites. When you mentioned Carmel de-lites as your fav, I was thinking, oh my! They've come out with a new one! I looked up GS cookies on the net and discovered that there are 2 bakeries that make GScookies...ABC and Little Brownie. Each is required to make the mandatory thin mints, Tag-a-longs and Trefoils, but each bakery may call the cookies by a different name. My fav, Samoas, are the same as the Carmel De-lites that you like, I had just never had heard them called that. I thought that was a piece of interesting, yet usless bit of information!! LOL
I've not seen any GS yet, but they usually set up in our local grocery store. I'll have to watch for them. :)
I would knock someone down for Thin Mints.
