Seven a.m. - time for DD to be out the door. She was stomping around the house - grumping at me about her phone not being charged, that I didn't jump up to kiss her goodbye fast enough, that someho it's my fault that she owes tons of library fines. I was doing a pretty good job ignoring it all. Then she went into her room, came out one minute later in a different shirt and said "Sorry. It was just my shirt, I couldn't take it"

That's got to be a first - a grumpy shirt! LOL at least she left in a better mood.

My son does this all the time. What he wears on any given day has to be carefully chosen based upon his mood. If I set something out for him to wear, and it's not "right" for his mood at that time, he gets grumpy. He's had to change shirts in the am because he woke up in a far different mood than that which he was in when he picked out his outfit the night before.

I don't get it either.

A couple of nights ago, C informed me that her school uniform made her face break out and her legs fat -- she feels 'greasy, fat and ugly' all day long until she changes into her jeans.

Well, I guess better "it was just my shirt" than "you're the meanest mom in the world!" LOL I swear, there are days when I'd like to lock myself in a box, DD's moods can get so bad - another reason I like her b/f so well... he gives her this look that says "OMG, knock off the drama!" and she changes her attitude in a heartbeat! Now if *I* did that, you all know what would happen! LOL
