Hey,

Your sons look so grown up! I had "dinner" with Jimmy Buffet a few weeks ago - he was at the table next to ours eating with his family. That was the day after we saw Trace Adkins playing a concert outside of our hotel (free to us- even better).

I'm glad you had a fun morning. You deserve it!!

Sounds like a good time Pam!

I kinda like the shaggy dog look, reminds me of high school in the 70's.

I really hadn't taken any pics of Jason for quite awhile.

I don't mind the shaggy look too much either and it's a good thing, because my almost teenage DS has some pretty darn long locks these day! I would mind it even less if it got combed a little more often, however. I noticed last night at dinner that his hair is so long his eyelashes get caught in it. Today is picture re-take day (the first ones were pretty bad) so I made sure I combed all the tangles out of his hair before he left for school, stuck a small brush into his backpack and asked him to please, please, please, comb that hair before the pictures! Fingers crossed ....

I'm glad you had a fun morning! I have yet to read any of Mitch Albom's books; they've been on my 'list' for some time though. I'm not keeping up real well.

Jason does still look pretty lean in the pictures Pam, but healthy! I'm so glad he is doing well and planning ahead for the spring semester. Is there a support program on campus that he will be able to participate in if he feels the need?

Does your DS have an interest in girls yet?

He claims no -- he says they are all 'stupid'. I am going to venture to guess that's not exactly the case though. Judging from the way he obsesses over the right shoes, pants, shirts and believe it or not, his hair, (he shampoos it daily and it has to be organized 'just so' on his head before we leave for school) I'm pretty certain he's at least AWARE of the presence of the female species.

He's dying for the appearance of facial hair, though I must admit I'm mystified about that one. He is terribly jealous of his friend K, who already has a mustache! I shudder to think of my 'baby' with a razor in his hand -- egad. I can wait a long while for that day.

It amuses me no end watching him grow from little boy to young man. The other day he informed me that the muscle (bicept) in his right arm was bigger than the one in his left arm. I explained that is probably true, as he is right handed and plays quite a bit of tennis so uses his right arm quite a bit more. He then went on to tell me that he could see it was bigger when he looked in the mirror. To prove this fact to me, he pushed his sleeves up, held up his arms and flexed them for me. I spent most of the rest of the day giggling at the thought of him standing naked in front of the mirror, 'flexing' to see his muscles! Guess my little boy is growing up -- a little sad at that thought.

It is a little sad, but having been there, done that 2 1/2 times (didn't get S until he was 17) it's also a lot of fun to watch them grow into adults.
