Nope; nothing special. DS14 decided to buy me a New Year's present, the first year of House (we started watching the 2nd year), so we watched 3 episodes of that and then went to bed (me 9:30, the guys about an hour later). DS has been dragging for a while - ends up I took him to the doctor again today and we got 3 vials drawn; he very likely has mono as his spleen and liver are enlarged (besides the symptoms he had Nov 29 when I brought him in the first time). So he's just hanging out at home, I'm back to work as of today, and he'll lay low another day til he goes back Thursday - good thing he's not in PE this semester!

I was pretty weary by then too, but I think the girls' demise was arranged by Edward. Do you recall the scene in the museum gift shop? When Edward 'gives' that tourist a $1 to buy some sort of trinket? The camera zeroed in on the dollar bill and it was folded in such a peculiar way that I'm pretty sure it was a signal.

I am guessing that Edward was trying to protect his son from the girl and then also, from any enemies she may have had or may have made.

Did you see 'Night at the Museum'? It was far more entertaining!

We had plans to go over to Dh's aunt's house for a poker night. Unfortunately, ds11 came down with the flu. It started Thursday afternoon and he's just now getting over it. So instead of poker night - me, sickly ds, dd and her bf just hung around the house watching movies (well ds slept but woke up in time for midnight). We watched the ball drop and then lit some sparklers out on the deck.

Yes! That makes perfect sense! I didn't put it together like that.

I too thought the dollar bill exchange at the end was a code like at the beginning of the movie, since the big guy that received the bill was also a Russian agent.

Ehhhh... Everyone I've talked to enjoyed "Night at the Museum", so I'm quite in the minority. It seemed like just another "coming of age" movie, except Stiller was a bit old for that. I just got tired of the little people whining, and all the running around. More likely though I was just tired and crabby from an unusually long day of arguments and dissension. I should have waited to see it later.
