Welcome Ginny. These teen years can be a trial, but they also can be a whole lot more fun than those toddler years! On occasion parents of teens actually get to be "friends" with their kids! And I love it!!
I'm Rose, married for 23 yrs to DH, have 3 DSs, Z19, S22, J22 (S is actually a foster child that never left and has adopted our family as his own - and us him) and DD N15 1/2. Also have a DIL C22 who has been part of our lives for 5 years, plus N has a 16 y/o b/f T. All in all, it's a wonderful bunch, even though they make me positively CRAZY some days.

Hi Ginny,

I'm Julie from sunny San Diego county, married 17 years with a 15yo DD and a near 13yo DS. My DS is pretty much glued to the PC in his free time too, so I can relate to your dilemma. DS is learning computer animation, graphics and web design at school and spends quite a bit of time 'playing' and creating, so I'm not terribly opposed to the hours spent parked in front of the monitor, especially when I consider he could make a living at it someday! I'm not sure about how he manages to watch tv, listen to his iPod and do his homework all at the same time, but he comes up with some pretty darn clever stuff AND still gets his homework done and gets good grades. ???? And oh yes ... he likes the games too! Overall, he's quite a decent young man, however.

I love your siggy! Hope to see you around more!

Julie

Hi, Welcome and my prayers. Three boys, couldn't imagine it!!!

I'm Andie from small town Pennsylvania. I have a 19 DD, fresman in college to be a nurse. I never had the video game problem, but teenagers in general can be a hoot.
DD does have a b/f that she has dated for 2 1/2 years and dd tells me all the time some of the funny stuff he does.

Welcome,

Andie
