I am 100% home alone. All weekend.

Lizabeth is spending the weekend with her grandparents. (Her bio dad's parents love spending time with her, and yet her bio dad refuses to see her - drives me crazy. But that's another story)

My cousin is spending the weekend with a friend and her family.

The hubby is gone hunting for the weekend.

The house is clean and the last load of wash is in the dryer.

What am I to do with myself all weekend???

...since I have free time, I just thought I would stop by and say hi :)

Hope all is well with everyone!

Hey Pam :)

Things are going really well - thanks for asking.
It is good to 'see' you too ;)

I can't believe how fast time flies. I swear it was just a few months ago that I came here asking for advice about having my cousin come live with me. Now - I'm stressing out about her turning 18! (that is another post, lol)

The glass of wine sounds nice - I just might have to pour myself one. I don't get much internet time anymore, there is always something going on here.

I don't have much exciting to say about my life - just working and having family time. I'm old and boring (don't laugh). DH just turned 25, which makes me feel old, as I'm only a few months behind him. I *know* it was just yesterday that I was eagerly awaiting the day I would turn 21 - and now I feel like the 'old one' if I go to the bar. I'm finding more and more that I get along better with the parents of Liz's friends vs. my own friends.
It is somewhat nice, as I used to feel a bit shunned being the 'young parent', but it is definitely a weird feeling realizing that I really *am* all grown up. I am so used to being the one in unique circumstances, it is nice to finally be 'settled' into my life.

anyway, that's all I can really think to say about myself
I'm sure I'll be 'around' this weekend. I'm going to try and catch up on some recent posts.

take care,
~Becca

Hi Becca,

I found myself in a similar situation a year or so ago. I loved the fact the house stayed clean all weekend, I didn't cook at all (so no dishes) and I watched a bunch of girly movies that were either inappropriate to watch with DD and DS or they just had no interest in watching. I was pretty happy to see them all come home again, though!

Enjoy your weekend!
