How about the other one?

I just was thinking that we all post about the child that we have the problems with or questions about, but what about the others?

You've heard bits about my 'other one'.
Hi guys,
I can't really complain! My DS20 is in college.
I probably don't need to post about my "other one".
Most of you have heard about my DS24 because I compare him and DS18 a lot--not good and bad, necessarily, just innate personality differences.
DS24 has always been outgoing and every teacher he's ever had told me at conferences that he talks too much in class. He was a shrimp, about 5th percentile height and weight every time he went to the peds office. Even though his initial driver's license at age 16 showed a height of 5'1", he made it to 5'10". (Julie, now you know why I said W looked tall in his photo--he really is compared to our kids. DS18 just hit 5'11".) He was reading Stephen King and Clive Kussner in 5th grade. He's been constantly debating/arguing with us since age 11/12, and I thought he'd be the difficult one. We never learned about his misdeeds as a teen until last year, so although he was yelled at a lot by DH, there were never any major problems.
DS 24 is now a civil engineer working in construction management. He likes his work and says he might go for his MBA, IF he can fit it into his busy schedule. He has had a gf for 2 yrs, goes to lots of concerts and sporting events, plays guitar, plays too many video games--STILL!; lifts weights, runs, skis, does whitewater rafting and visits friends in NYC and LA; and he is NEVER without a book!
Over Thanksgiving he showed us his personal budget in Excel--I was shocked! (With an acctg/finance background, I have never done a personal/household budget.) Despite the fact that he carefully tracks his expenses, he spends frivolously. Hmmm...maybe he needs that spreadsheet just to be sure his head is still above water.
Also over Thanksgiving he lifted his shirt to show us all his svelte abs! When I mentioned that he was getting little dimples like his dad, he said, "No way!". A couple of days later he said, "I think I know where the dimples are coming from. The Qdoba wrap I've been eating every day for lunch has 66 grams of fat!". If he bothered to check, I guess he does listen to some of my advice about eating healthfully.
He's coming tomorrow and we're all looking forward to it. He's fun and witty!
