I was wondering how you check to see if anyone in the household has been viewing inappropriate sites. I know about checking history, but if that is deleted is there another place to check? I heard about checking cookies.

I have this issue too, so I'm wondering... can cookie deletion prevent access to a site? How does cookie deletion help me figure out where they've been or prevent them from going there?

Neither.
Cookies are just small files that allow web site developers to monitor where you surf.
From our standpoint as parents, they provide little information about where are teens have been. Most cookies are files that have cryptic names that are meaningless. Sometimes, there may be called something like "sextracker" which can give us a clue, but for the most part, they are not a tool for parents.

That's what I thought. Fine for tuning up your computer, but no substitute for monitoring software. Thanks.
