How old were you?

All of this talk today about our kids wanting to include their bfs or gfs in family celebrations made me wonder about how old we were when we met our significant others. We think that these teen romances aren't very important and will only last a few weeks or months, but is that necessarily so?

I was still 17 when I met my DH, and it's hard for me to fathom that at 16, my DD is almost the same age that I was then! (Of course, I was already in college, but that's another story.) We didn't get married until after college and graduate school, when we were in our mid-twenties, but we did find each other at a very early age!

"she could pull herself up parallel to the ground on the playground jungle gym without using her hands."

Let me guess.....your wife's name is Tabatha, and her mom's name is Samantha. All it takes is a little wiggle of the nose, right?

What a cute story!

ROFL... I guess that deserves a bit of explanation...

She had the most fantastic abs. Of course, when you're 10, that's the only "development" that's interesting.... With her feet locked in the bars, she could pull her torso up, level with the ground and just hold there indefinitely with her arms crossed. All the guys were in awe. Yup...that's the Queen.

It took me several minutes of thinking about this yesterday, Daddioe, to figure out what you meant! LOL. Then I was thinking to myself "She has to have great abs!" Cute story.
