On Halloween, do you let your teen dds go trick or treating with a group of friends--or do you tale behind them.

No horns here, but in STL it's also unwritten that you go from 6-8pm only.

JMO but I feel that teens are in general far too old to be trick or treating.
I did let my DD go to the mall w/ her friends (and no adult) when she was probably in 8th grade.
Yes, I have been pulling in the driveway coming home from work and seen kids coming up to my door.
Teens still trick or treat around here :)
In my small town, kids start around 5 by door to door stops at 8 and all are great at abiding by the rules. My 13 year old is going out with friends and I have no problem with that, assuming they actually dress up.My 10 year old DD wants to go out with friends. The problem is what I do with my 5 year old?? I can't watch the girls and be with a 5 year old at the same time. You have to use your judgement and your comfort level. In most places there are several adults out with kids so problems shouldn't happen.Make sure your kids feel comfortable asking for help if they need it.How about giving the kids the cell phone so they have it?
