We've lucked out so far. Thursday was a wild storm - but I got home before it was really bad. We spent Sat driving from our house to my parents, and a storm blew in while we were sleeping. By the time we were ready to come home again, it had switched to rain - our whole trip was along the coast, which got more rain than snow anyway. I'm a little nervous about what the morning will bring - all those wet roads could be icy - but the rest of the week is supposed to be just windy.
Here in Western NY we have been having snow all day and have a winter storm warning in effect until tomorrow morning. I'm not sure exactly how much we have had, but I'm guessing well over a foot. Dave and Jaryd were out mid day and plowed and when Kelsie's bf came over he did it again for us (that is what he does for part of his job, and since Dave has driven him home etc. he thought it was the least he could do.)
Dave swears he saw that our district was closed tomorrow, but I can't find anything on the website of the channel he saw it on. That is my assignment, as long as I'm up I have to monitor the closings to see if they can sleep in the morning instead of go to school. LOL they are always hoping.
Well, all of last week was nice (high 70's/ low 80's mostly), but yesterday the cold front moved in and the temperatures dipped below freezing last night. Today (and continuing for the next few days) it is supposed to be in the low 50's as a high.
Part of me is glad I don't have to deal with the snow and extreme cold, and a part of me is a little wistful. I could sure use a "snow break" from work for a couple of day!!

P.S. diamondslb - The snow picture is lovely! I could just see myself in bed with
We got 8 inches of snow on Thursday (drove to work in that, or tried to at least) and about 12 inches of snow on Sunday (work closed an hour early and that was it).
