Get kicked of the boards for this, and I guess if you never see me posting again, that is what happened, but I really have to say that I am so sad at what I think is going on on this board.

NOT about you. I'm so sorry you thought/think it was. Please don't walk away - come out of lurkdom and help us re-establish this board as a warm, welcoming place to vent, share victories, and just hang-out with other parents.

Wow, I haven't been here for a few days so I'm just getting around to reading this thread. Do you really think "someone's" showing up under two names? I had thought about it several days ago after some posts I saw, but then thought maybe there is really someone with similar personalities LOL. Although I agree with some that using the ignore feature would help, I just can't get myself to do that. I guess it would be in most of our best interests so it wouldn't bother us so much.

Oh well, this is still a wonderful place to spend time and get thoughtful opinions.

Kel, I remember you from a long long time ago also. I've been posting on iVillage for about 10 years and I've posted on MANY different boards. I had two user names in 10 years. My old user name was sugarjo and I only used that one for about 2 years because there was another sugarjo on the boards back then who always posted controversial things and I didn't want to be mixed up with her/him/it.

I think we all can be comfortable posting here about our lives and kids and issues, and joys, etc., but just use common sense about personal info. I have shared pics occasionally but not so much because I'm basically demented when it comes to posting pics!! I do not, however, post personal information about my income, investments, banking institution, address, etc. We should all be using the same caution we instruct our kids to use, IMO. Just because we're adults does not mean we can't be duped.

I personally love when there is a thread relevant to things in my life, past or present. Sometimes it's painful for me to read some threads because of that and I may not post. When I do post about a personal experience, it is always from deep within my heart as I usually am not open about sharing personal things though I do enjoy discussing a lot of topics in general. Sometimes too much!!

Anyway, I am hoping that we can learn how to mingle as a group again and let this other stuff just roll off. Life is too short.
