I want to thank you for all the advice you all have given me. It has helped so much. I have been praying for my daughter and have asked others to pray. As I was praying the other day the Lord told me to be patient and wait for His time. Every day is hard watching her and wanting to step in and shake some sense into her head. But I have put it in His hands. The main thing that bothers me at this time is when and what to say like when she is not working on her stuff like basketball, volleyball, homework to do his stuff for him.(that's my main concern now is when to say something). But I am trusting the Lord that he will guide her. That he opens her eyes to this guy or open mine. Thanks again

much love

Good for you. Now maybe you can get some rest and be ready to get your next wind.

I just finished reading a devotional type book on Christian parenting by Rick Osborne. It is called
What Mary & Joseph Knew About Parenting: Surprising Insights from the Best (and Worst) Parents in the Bible
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1591452880/sr=8-1/qid=1143568549/ref=sr_1_1/103-8650397-6729417?%5Fencoding=UTF8

The very first lesson talks about looking at God as the third parent. When we can't physically be with them, He is. When we can't get through to them, he will and can but you are correct it will be in His time and His way. It addresses discipline, making sacrifices, religious teaching, education, etc. You might want to check it out.

I have been struggling with letting go of my concerns about DD leaving for college in the fall. I just don't feel good about her choice of schools but I have to accept that this is her choice and let it go. This book has helped me with that.

Good for you. Now, make sure you don't "take her back". I've given my boys over to God more times than I can count, and invariably, I "take them back". Giving her over to God is the best thing, and also one of the hardest. At least it was for me. Let Him give you the strength to Let Go and Let God.

I am right there with you all... some days are better than others. For now I am about where you are, ks. I'll say a prayer for you.
