Ok, keep your fingers crossed......my DS 16 has an interview w/ the department where I work to be hired as a summer temp. Well, actually he doesn't officially have one yet, but our personnel person stopped me and indicated he'll be calling my son today---there are not enough jobs for all the summer help that applied. I think they are one short, maybe...they are TRYING to make a job for all, but it may not work out.
Anyway, my 16 yr old son who thinks with other parts than his brain (you know, his ego), actually SAID that he's glad the interview would be tomorrow (if he gets the call) so he'd have more time to PREPARE......P R E P A R E......my son said the word properly in a sentence, which leads me to believe he knows the definition......he wants to PREPARE for an interview......
I'm actually proud!!
It also may be because he needs to do laundry, too, but that's yet to be determined....haha

Pam, I hope Justin hears something soon! Tanner works at Hy-Vee (a grocery store for those not in the Mid-west) part time, but would like to work as close to a full time job as he can to earn $$
anyway, I hope he hears something soon and gets on with a place he loves........
Good luck to your ds!
Well, he called and has an interview tomorrow at 11. Of course my son who wanted to be prepared doesn't know who he's interviewing with.........(see my hands pulling my hair out?)
But nonetheless, he's interviewing, with tie and black shoes........hopefully he'll turn on the tom cruise smile and charm everyone......:)
I know what type of job he's interiewing for, and it seems pretty responsible to me.......it's one that someone with a title higher than me does in MY section......hmmmm...is that a testament to MY abilities or my co worker with a higher title? I think it's HER!!! It will be a simple job, but a very important one.....so let's hope he gets it.
Don't forget that I'm in the midwest too - I'm very familiar with Hy-Vee!
Good luck to all the summer job-seekers.
