Ok, keep your fingers crossed......my DS 16 has an interview w/ the department where I work to be hired as a summer temp. Well, actually he doesn't officially have one yet, but our personnel person stopped me and indicated he'll be calling my son today---there are not enough jobs for all the summer help that applied. I think they are one short, maybe...they are TRYING to make a job for all, but it may not work out.
Anyway, my 16 yr old son who thinks with other parts than his brain (you know, his ego), actually SAID that he's glad the interview would be tomorrow (if he gets the call) so he'd have more time to PREPARE......P R E P A R E......my son said the word properly in a sentence, which leads me to believe he knows the definition......he wants to PREPARE for an interview......
I'm actually proud!!
It also may be because he needs to do laundry, too, but that's yet to be determined....haha

A call center job sounds like a PERFECT job for a young man (or woman).......I knew you were in the midwest, but wasn't sure if anyone else reading would even KNOW what a hy-vee was.....THAT is an awesome place to work. He's been 'promoted' already to working in the frozen food dept----came w/ a .25 raise.......they work around his sports schedule VERY easily, and they seem to really like and appreciate him...if he sticks w/ them, they'll pay for schooling if he continues to work for them (I think).
Let us know how Justin's hunt is going!!
I dont' know if there are any Hy-Vee grocery stores in the St. Louis area or not.....I'm in Jefferson City, and there's one at the lake, and there's several in KC and Northern MO....LOTS AND LOTS in Ia....If I'm not mistaken, that's where it started......but I can't be positive.
IT's a great store--decent pay, and so far (KNOCK ON WOOD) they've been super flexible w/ my DS.....
Now, honestly, I dont shop there often, even though T works there, they seem to be a pricier store, but they are very nice. The one at the Lake (of the ozarks for you non Missouri folks) is FABULOUS...large, bright, clean, w/ all sorts of really cool food (remember, my city is small, and 'fresh' mozerella cheese???come on.....) In my town, if it isn't meat and potatoes, they look at you like you are NUTS.......(not really, but sometimes it FEELS that way) But to me Hy-Vee is a little expensive......they are remodeling our store to be similar to the one at the Lake---and it is SO nice.......so I may end up there more....just because it's bright and clean and nice....
