Julie,
How have you been feeling? I read something in the paper about Epstein-Barr and it made me think of you and wonder how you are coping. Keep us informed...

Hi jt,
Thanks so much for asking. I'm feeling a bit better -- mostly like I'm coming down with a cold or the flu all the time, but I can get through most days now without taking a nap! Still pretty run down at the end of the day though so am in bed pretty darn early most nights. The doctor said it would take 4-6 months for the virus to run its course so I should be feeling like my old self soon! It's discouraging when there is something I want to do or finish up, and then run out of steam and have to leave things undone or unfinished.
I was thinking about you last week too. How is your commute going? DD had mid-terms last week (well, three days of tests anyway) and dismissal was at 11:20 each of those days, so rather than have her hang around for hours (there wouldn't be much going on during finals week anyway) I made the two-hour round-trip all those three days. I enjoyed having the extra time with her so it wasn't so bad, and I'm pretty sure DH liked having a little reprieve from driving too!
But ... back to the old routine today.
Thanks again for thinking of me. I hope you have a great day and week.
Julie
Glad to hear you're doing a little better. Thanks for asking about the commute: it is WONDERFUL. The difference in my dd is unbelievable. She said C&A are at least civil to her at school - C more than A. If I even start a mental mini-grumble about the time, I just remind myself that she is no longer being treated as though she were invisible at the beginning and ending of each school day. That's all it takes.
It was intersting last week, I am the photography club advisor and we had our monthly meeting. C&A are both in photo club - mostly because of the carpool, but I know C really likes it. I sent C an e-mail before the meeting (she is secretary) asking her to send out minutes and I added a quick note saying "anyone needing a ride back home can ride with us." - She didn't respond but they both came to the club and rode home with us. C was very friendly and dd, C and K, (another girl I drop off after photo club, but she was never in the carpool) talked most of the way home. A was silent except when talking to C. Weird dynamics. I'm glad it's over.
The moms aren't too thirlled with me but, oh well.
Glad you got to spend a little quailty drive-time with your dd. I'm sure she REALLY appreciated being able to get out of there after all that ...
Keep Resting!!

That 'ol A just sounds like a rotten egg! I'm glad C & K were chatty with your DD on the ride home. I'm sure that helped her to feel better about things -- and helped her realize that A is just a mean-spirited and hateful person!
As far as the other moms go ... OH WELL ...
Julie
