Can't wait to hear how the Winter Formal was - how did she look? Did she have fun?

Can't wait to hear how the Winter Formal was - how did she look? Did she have fun?

Hi Sue,
Thanks for thinking of me!
She looked like a princess! The dress, shoes and bag looked great; she liked the dress so well we have already talked about recycling it for homecoming next year (shorten the hem, maybe add spaghetti straps and a sparkly or two).
The dance was in a glass-walled building near the penguin house? I'm having a hard time remembering ever seeing such a place at Sea World, but it must be there. DD said it was hot inside and cold outside and since glass doesn't absorb sound, the music was really, really loud. She said they had to shout to hear each other talk.
DD said it was fun, that she had a good time. (I noticed she didn't say it was 'really, really fun' -- those are the words she usually uses to indicate a GREAT time). It was an hour from the time she left Sea World until the time she got home though; she probably had an adrenaline crash en route so wasn't as enthusiastic about the evening as she might have been had I seen her directly after.
I'm still fiddling with the pics to try and post. None of them turned out especially well. I've been testing paint samples for our house (#8 seems to be the winner) and had a hard time finding a background that wasn't all paint splotched. I had her stand in front of a pair of plain white double doors, rather stark but the color of her dress really stands out! Her friends' house was very dark and the ones we took there didn't turn out so great either.
Soon as I'm done fiddling, I'll try and get them up.
Thanks again for asking. I hope you had a nice weekend too!
Julie
