If DS isn't interested, odds are that she'll back off shortly... teen girls can have a pretty short attention span if their affections aren't returned.

Just a thought, but has your school had homecoming yet? I know when DD was in high school, the scramble for dates started during band camp in August and homecoming wasn't usually until sometime in October! If thats the case she may be looking to secure her homecoming date, which could explain the fast pursuit.

Never thought about the homecoming angle, but I think you might be right!

Thanks. I'm not panicked, but I am still trying to get used to the fact that DS has his own life now that he wants to keep private. It's a strange thing. I still want to know everything that is going on and it will take some time to get used to this!!

If he doesn't like the girl, I want him to learn a little about how to be polite and how to conduct himself so that he is not rude or hurtful. On the other hand, I'm trying to keep my distance and respect his independence too. So, I haven't asked him about it or said anything about it. But I have to admit, my own curiosity is killing me!!

Hi Rose!

I don't know if it's just my screen, but I wanted to tell you that in several of your posts a few of the words are being cut off on the right side margin.

Mine too Rose!

And back to the subject at hand, I know it is difficult when they want to have their own life. But you may want to ask him about it. (If you have mentioned that you did please forgive me, I have read so many posts sometimes I get them mixed up) You never know he might want to talk about it. Ask him how he feels about these messages and what he wants to do about them, he may say I don't want to talk about ot or it's none of your business or he may say I don't know what to do.

At least you will know where he stands on your involvement.

I cant access the color and font change options on IVillage because I use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. And your posts look fine to me-at least at the time I am posting this

Dont know if that helps you figure out what is happening
