For those of you who have been around awhile and have patiently put up with my whining about T's little school...well, here's another one...
ds16 is a sophomore this year.

I don't remember much about your DS; is he shy? I'd try to encourage him to talk to the coach and ask why he would not be allowed to play. If he doesn't like the coach's answer he should go to the athletic director or principal.
If he is shy like my DS18 is, talking to the coach might do little good, and then you might have to follow up. When my son questioned why he could not play, the coach told him it was cuz he'd missed practice (he was sick on Thursday but felt ok for a Saturday game). That was the end of it; DS didn't have any followup questions. So I then called the coach.
I hope things turn out okay for your DS. Our children need to be given the chance to show they can excel in some activity when they always feel defeated in the classroom.

Mitzi, I'm sorry T is having another problem at school. That poor kid, no matter what he does they just don't want to give him a break do they.
Our hs doesn't have a lot of cookingm, but we do have a BOCES course of study where the kids go to
I'm sorry to hear things at school aren't going well for T, Mitzi.
Wow, what a mess!
Well, *maybe* some good news came this afternoon in the form of big brother.
they can be in 2 sports in one season?
LOL
That's interesting!
When kids are academically ineligible here, they are expected to go to all practices and games with the team, they just can't play in the game.
I don't get it either about still going to practices and games, just not able to dress.
